Well herein lies the question: do we provide those answers, or leave them intentionally unanswered so the DM can run adventure hooks off them?

I generally prefer when a RPG-book I bought tells me the stuff it alludes too That being said, we could include a "this is how we imagined it" section for such stuff. Give the DM our vision but make it clear that it is just a suggestion.

More to come... I'll flesh out the loose ends too.

Agreed. Or at the very least gives me the broad strokes of their story so I just have to flesh out stats and maybe have to draw a tactical map or two. Like, "the cause of the mysterious murders is the son of a lord afflicted with lycanthrope (Ftr 3, wererat) who drags his kills back to an abandoned tower in the castle compound (40x40', 60' high, 3 levels (4 Rooms; 5 Rooms; 3 Rooms) and a dungeon level (120x80', 8 Rooms) where he shacks up with his harem (4x Ftr 1, wererats)" kind of thing.
